ISSUE 039 | July 2023

Hi friends!

This week I have no shoots, but a lot of things on my list - the first being a website refresh to reflect what I'm all about a bit more accurately. Photography is the business that I create impact through, but I'm not just a photographer.

I'm also doing my carbon assessment, figuring out my focus for my B Corp re-certification for 2023-24, creating my digital course, and workshopping some ideas to collaborate on a Business of Biodiversity leadership course (of which we'll need half a dozen businesses interested in doing the pilot - shoot me an email if you want to find out more on how you could incorporate biodiversity into your business DNA).

Don't get me wrong, I'm still very good at ‘productive procrastination’ - i.e. diving into my inbox rather than doing the deep work, but I try to stay focused by utilising my second brain (i.e. the Notion productivity workspace/app). Check it out here if you need a second brain too!

The top 10 actions to make a difference for biodiversity

Australia has one of the highest per person biodiversity footprints in the world.

This table by Biodiversity Council shows the top ten priority actions that people can take to benefit biodiversity. These actions produce a high level of biodiversity benefit for relatively low effort. They were chosen because they are relatively easy (e.g. cost is not a significant barrier), and they are actions that many people can start doing now.
