ISSUE 093 | July 2025
As I write this newsletter, I have a draught assessment going on in our leaky 1890s cottage. We did it 14 years ago when we moved in, and now I think the thermal efficiency is a wee bit compromised again. We are currently ‘cocooning’ - with half of the house super warm, and half with no heating. It's a perfect metaphor for everything I'm seeing right now - the need to retrofit, adapt, and find better ways to make things work together.

Re-certified and recharged
My B Corp recertification results just came through - with a 42.5% improvement from three years ago, which feels like solid proof that this whole "business as a force for good" thing actually works.
B Corps meet high standards of social and environmental performance, going beyond profit to benefit people and planet. With almost 750 in Australia, it shows embedding impact gets easier with practice.

Co-existence in the mountains
An inspiring short documentary shows how humans, bears, and wolves are learning to coexist in Italy's Central Apennine mountains.
Through rewilding projects, electric fences, and ecotourism, depopulated mountain towns are finding new life. It's a beautiful reminder that when we work with nature instead of against it, everyone thrives - even the bears.

My New AI Tool
I've just switched from ChatGPT to Poppy AI and I'm genuinely impressed. It's the first multiplayer AI that lets you collaborate with others, handles multiple file types at once, and actually understands context across different media. For content creators and small business owners drowning in information, it's like having a brilliant research assistant who never forgets anything.
