I’m a certified B Corp!

Friends. I'm excited to announce my business is now a Certified B Corp.

B Corporations follow ethical practices to do business by putting the planet and people before profit. They’re about providing a better way to help conscious consumers and businesses to make purchasing decisions that align with their values – which is precisely what I’m about too. Using business as a force for good.

Certified B Corps meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. Basically it cuts through the greenwashing to tell customers a brand has been verified as making an impact. You’ve probably seen the logo on some of your favourite progressive brands such as Patagonia, Bank Australia, Who Gives A Crap and Australian Ethical.

Now I’m proud to be joining their ranks. For my clients, it means supporting a female-owned B corp who wants to give back. For me, it means I can measure my impact and align my values with a recognised certification. It also means changing who I work with.

From 2022, I will only be working with clients who are working towards the Sustainable Development Goals.

Read more about this shift in my business model here. Broadly, it means I will now only take on work in two categories: sustainable architecture and the built environment, and any project that directly aligns with the SDGs.

Not gonna lie, it wasn’t easy to achieve B Corp certification. (You can read about that journey in my impact report.) I’m so glad I did, and about how it’s already shaping the way I think about my business.

Can’t wait for what’s next.
