ISSUE 057 | 12 March 2024

Hi friends!

As we kick off B-Corp month, I'm thrilled to be speaking at BlueRock's panel discussion, where we'll unravel the complexities of integrating sustainability into business practices. I'd love to see you there on the 20th March for an exploration of how our community is reshaping the business landscape - from fostering inclusivity to addressing climate challenges, we're committed to driving positive change.

March is a pivotal month for me in the purpose-driven space, as we conclude the pilot program I've been leading with the Odonata Foundation - Business of Biodiversity. The program brought together 24 diverse businesses, from large corporations to sole traders. With Tim Flannery joining our final panel and project pitch down at the Mt Rothwell Biodiversity Interpretation Centre, I'm super excited to see the close of this pilot and then start thinking about how we shape the next round of Business of Biodiversity.

Sign up here if you're interested in finding out more about the next Business of Biodiversity intake.

B Local Melbourne

Five excellent humans and myself have started a B Corp community in Melbourne - for all leaders and employees of Melbourne/Victorian B Corps, and also the ‘B Corp curious’. Come and join us in connecting with other like minded purpose-profit jugglers.

The goal of this group is connection to other B's in your area. We'll be curating local events and activities in our region for you to get involved in throughout the year.

The gender pay gap

Given it was International Women's Day last Friday, I thought it timely to mention that the recent data released by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) is now available online.

This is the first time that large private sector organisations have had their company’s gender pay gaps published for all to see, name, and shame.
