The ultimate B Corp gift guide

I’ve compiled a list of some of my favourite Australian certified B Corps, offering products that are actually making the world a better place.

Fashion

  • Clothing the Gaps - Aboriginal social enterprise uniting people through fashion and cause. Re-investing in impact.

  • The Common Good Company - sustainable and ethical apparel made from 100% recycled materials (does custom branding).

  • Bassike - ready-to-wear, organic jersey, denim & accessories, responsibly made in Australia.

  • Arnsdorf - a modern womenswear brand, based on a foundation of transparency, ethical manufacturing and sustainability.

  • Boody - The Official Underwear of the Entire Planet, with certified organically grown bamboo and a recycling program.

  • Will & Bear - fair trade, sustainable and ethically handmade hats from natural fibres. One tree planted for every hat sold.

  • Ozeano - plant based, handmade Australian sunglasses. With every sale, they fund the removal of 12kg of marine litter from our oceans and waterways (equivalent to over 900 plastic bottles), as well as funding an eye care operation to restore vision for a person in need.

  • The Very Good Bra - the world's first zero post-consumer waste bra in 26 sizes

  • Bondi Born - swimwear with every fabric consciously sourced for sustainable certification and Climate Neutral Certified.

Creative

  • Karst Stone Paper - made from sustainably recycled stone, and without any bleaches or acids, Karst Stone Paper is rebuilt from first principles to be better than wood-pulp paper: more durable, more sustainable, and infinitely smoother to write, scribble, doodle or draw on.

  • Dumbo Feather - each issue is filled with feature-length articles about people doing extraordinary things. The common thread connecting them all together? Everyone in the pages of Dumbo Feather is striving to do good in the world.

  • Bellroy - a company making products that carry things. Bellroy’s bags, wallets and accessories are made using environmentally sustainable materials like recycled and plant-derived fabrics, as well as premium quality leather with the least environmental impact.

 

Footwear

  • Allbirds - the world's most comfortable shoes, flats, and clothing made with natural materials like merino wool and eucalyptus.

  • Etiko - fairtrade and sustainable streetwear. Great alternatives to Converse, I can attest to how comfy the sneakers are!

  • TOMS - footwear that improve lives. For every $3 they make, they give $1 away.

  • Indosole (made from 100% recycled tyres, a great Haviana replacement)

  • Bared footwear - mindfully-crafted shoes that feel good and do good. Transforming the footwear industry, the brand is dedicated to sourcing sustainable materials, empowering disadvantaged communities and recycling shoes to ensure they don’t end up in landfill

 

Booze

  • Unico Zelo and Applewood Distillery (I rate their gin very highly!). Crafting drinks in the most sustainable and non-impactful way possible.

  • Cape Byron Distillery - sustainable gin and whisky with an on-farm closed-loop distillation process.

  • Minimum Wines - Mindful wines, with respect for the land they come from, and the people who drink them.

    Beer

  • Stone & Wood - beer from the Northern Rivers. To them, good means more than just the quality or the taste of the beer, it reflects how they fulfil their role as the local brewer and encapsulates how they work with the environment and give back to the community.

  • 4 Pines - an Australian craft brewery committed to reducing their impact.

  • Capital Brewing Co - Australia’s first brewery to achieve both B Corp certification and Climate Active carbon neutral certification for their entire organisation and all of their products. Based in the ACT.

  • Heaps Normal - non-alcoholic beer that tastes so good you won’t miss the alcohol.

 

Homewares + furniture

  • Koskela, with a gifts for Dad collection

  • Armadillo - handmade rugs that lie lightly on this earth. My house is full of these beauties.

  • Go Kindly - high quality Australian made bedding, donating 50% of profits to support women experiencing housing stress.

  • Rumble Coffee - brewing up positive change. Based in Melbourne.

  • Jasper Coffee - Certified organic, fairtrade and carbon neutral coffee beans based in Melbourne.

  • Market Lane Coffee - committed to building a responsible and environmentally sustainable business with meaningful and transparent relationships across every facet of their supply chain. Also based in Melbourne.

  • Sample Coffee - more good coffee, based in Sydney.

  • Pablo & Rusty’s - Positive Impact Coffee. Carbon Neutral Certified. Proudly 1% for the Planet. Based in Sydney.
