Sanctum Homes, Warrandyte residence

Client: Sanctum Homes

Interior design: Open Door Design

Location: Wurundjeri country (Warrandyte, VIC)

After living in their house for almost four years and getting to know both its quirks and their own requirements, Dave and Millie enlisted eco-conscious builder Hamish White from Sanctum Homes.

Together they transformed the clunky living area and kitchen into a modern, open-plan space that could cater for a crowd and meet the needs of their young children. Keeping sustainability front of mind, a ‘feature’ pine staircase in the lounge room was removed, new oak flooring went in, a covered outdoor entertaining area was added, and large, double- glazed windows were installed to capture the leafy views.
